Terms of Service
Last updated: October 3, 2026
These terms apply when you use this website or buy from us. The seller is PPM Insights Pty Ltd (ABN 89 001 803 112), PO Box 949, Buddina, QLD 4575, Australia ("we", "us"). Our End User Licence Agreement explains how you may use the books and apps themselves.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law as a consumer, including under the Australian Consumer Law and, if you live in the EU or UK, your local consumer protection law.
1. What we sell
- Books in the Stay Safe Series, as eBooks, audiobooks and Multi-Media Packs (digital), and as paperbacks printed and shipped by our partner Books.by.
- Apps: the Health Record (Patient Edition) and the Carer Workbench, which includes a special carer version of the Health Record. Each app is sold as a licence for 1 month or 12 months, and starts with a free 30-day trial.
Each product page describes what's included. Please read it before you buy.
2. Prices and payment
Prices are shown at checkout in the currency stated there, with any tax that applies where you live. Payment is taken by Stripe (cards) or PayPal at the time of purchase. App licences do not renew automatically and you are never charged again without placing a new order. The app reminds you before your licence ends, and you choose whether to renew.
3. How the contract is made
You make an offer when you place an order at checkout. The contract is made when we confirm your order by email. You can correct your details at checkout before you pay. We keep a record of your order, and your confirmation email is your copy of these terms and your order.
4. Delivery
- Digital books are available straight away in your member area at shop.sr.guide, and by the link in your confirmation email.
- Apps: your confirmation email gives you the app's address and your activation code. The app activates online the first time; after that, everyday use works offline.
- Paperbacks are printed and shipped by Books.by on its terms and timescales.
5. Refunds and your right to cancel
Every digital book and every app licence has a 30-day money-back guarantee. That is longer than the 14-day right of withdrawal that consumers in the EU and UK have by law. Full details, and a cancellation form, are in our Refund Policy.
6. Your account
Keep your login and activation codes to yourself and your own household. Sharing them more widely may lead to the code being blocked (see our EULA).
7. Information, not professional advice
Our books, apps and website give general safety, home and wellbeing information. They are not a substitute for advice from a doctor, pharmacist, lawyer, financial adviser or security professional who knows your situation. The apps record and present what you enter. They do not diagnose, monitor or alert anyone, and they are not medical devices. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
8. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. We don't exclude or limit liability where that would be unlawful, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your rights as a consumer (for example, the guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law, or your right to digital content that matches its description and is of satisfactory quality).
Keep your own backups. The apps save your records in your browser and offer backup files; we can't recover records from your device for you.
9. Intellectual property
All content on this site, in our books and in our apps is © Ed Chivers and licensed to PPM Insights Pty Ltd. You may use it as our EULA allows, and not otherwise copy, resell or republish it.
10. Links to other websites
We link to government agencies, research and other useful sites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content. Some links may be affiliate links: see our Affiliate Disclosure.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to an order is the one on this page when you placed it.
